a CSR sold to someone underage. I left really frustrated and went to the other store in Metral Station. I got the same hassle but adding insult to injury as I'm turning to leave the girl said ' please step out' totally unnecessary and extremely rude. Had I ordered online this would not have been a problem. Not only is the customer service rude but there is never enough stock, it's always out of something I have been purchasing for years. I work in retail and there are often customers who are angry or frustrated, this is part of the job. I don't take it personally because I understand how they feel. Where I work the customer comes first always, it is a highly successful company for that reason. The kids today don't have a clue how to treat customers because most are coming from and entitlement attitude. I will never again shop at this business anywhere or online.
I was disappointed when I showed up two weeks ago to have my hair cut. The stylist had to redo colour for the client that was before me, which made the appointment time later. I suggested to re-book for a later date (two weeks later) with the stylist; however, two weeks later, I end up with a totally different stylist - not the one that I had originally booked with. Worked with Jim to find a property to renovate and found him to be extremely professional and communicative throughout the process. If you are looking for a real estate agent that does more then just send through listings that are posted online in North Vancouver then this is the guy to go to.
Not a company to be trusted! You will see some great reviews BUT you may be someone like me who paid their deposit to secure the materials and labour for a scheduled project, the owner Karan (aka Kory), will have the audacity to not do the work and keep your deposit.
Karan/Kory will give you every excuses why they couldn’t do the work and will push you out for months. Then, to finally agree to return the deposit, they will come back with more excuses.

This is too long a debacle to share, suffice to say that at one point, I had the comb & scissors in my hand to show her where the unwanted bulk was. I had no intention of cutting it. I just wanted to show her how I “chip into it” when I got home. But she said, go ahead. Cut it. 😳
I used to be in the hair biz specializing as a hair colour tech so I know how delicate it is trample on someone else’s work. I’ve also been a graphic designer, & am now an abstract artist & creative coach so dealing with angles, precision, creativity & people are not foreign concepts to me.
At one point, as my stylist went to town on my hair, cutting at the top instead of the bottom? I asked her to stop and sit with me. She sat and stared at me. I asked what her plan was. She didn’t have one she said. She didn’t know what to do. It seemed that I was attempting to coach how to find her way in cutting my hair. I demonstrated several times where the unwanted bulk & weight was.
She didn’t get the taper concept and she didn’t get how the shorter hair at the back of my head needed to “connect” somehow across the hair in between to the longer front - those two lengths. A 6” length difference side by side isn’t going to cut it! No pun intended.
I asked what should we do? “I don’t know” she said. Yikes! This is not the first time I’ve heard I don’t know from her. That happened last time when she cut my hair shorter at the front than I had asked. Her response then additionally was, “it’s gone now”. No kidding.
The kicker for me today was the end result of her asking her two colleagues to step in. Good idea but,….
The first asked me what I had wanted. I showed her the exact gesture I showed my stylist when I came in where I pushed up the back hair to demonstrate how short and angled and also showed how long to leave the front. This new stylist looked at my haircut & said, “yes, this needs to be tapered here at the nape, take out the weight. I’d do it but don’t have time right now, but I can do it tomorrow. “
The second stylist came with a different approach. “I know nothing, fill me in. Do you have a picture? Show me a picture from your phone. Do you have one?
I finally located images out of the plethora of photos I have. I showed the cuts and explained (as I did 2 other occasions on previous visits) how these cuts were what I liked but I wanted the back shorter, higher and less heavy near the nape.
She then proceeded to inform me that “no one here can make me happy.”
So their lack of ability doesn’t exist and this is my fault? (I had managed to finish this cut several times at home, albeit $70 later.)
I replied that this wasn’t a happiness problem. It was a communication problem. Furthermore, I politely reminded her that her colleague said she knew what needed to be done but she couldn’t do it until the next day.
She repeated her statement about this not being the place for me. (You mean you don’t want to bother to fix this.)
I left followed by her gestures of patronizing well wishes, good luck and other such pathetic nonsense.
When I got home, my husband & I took the scissors to it. Again.

Contracted in writing for about $56k of work in June 2021. Put a $28k deposit down. They completed about $14k of work in the fall of2021 based on their written quote. I had the elevator booked at my new apartment in Campbell River between 3- 4 pm. So these moving guys were taking their time to load the truck. It took them 2 1/2hrs to load, they could have loaded in 1 1/2 hrs.
So 1 1/2 hrs @ $120,00 = $180.00 To unload it took longer because the distance from the truck to the elevator and from the elevator to my apartment it took them 3 1/2 hrs. So total hrs to load and unload took 5 hrs @ $120.00 = $600.00, final bill 7.25 hrs @ $120 =$870.00 = $270.00 difference.
So this one is even better. Travel time from Nanaimo to Campbell River is 1 1/2 hrs, return travel travel time is 1 1/2 hrs for a total of 3 hrs So 3 hrs @ $120.00 = $360.00, final bill 4.75hrs @ $120.00 =$570 difference $210.00.
Adding hrs beyond the actual hrs on a final bill is called padding, this is fraud, and is a sign of GREED. If they do this to every customer, it adds up.
The mover who prepared the final bill, I got into an argument with him regarding the cost. I paid the bill and said to myself, I will recover what is owed to me. Total cost for a one bedroom move was $1,702.00, way too much.
If you, family or friends have retained this moving company in the past two years, check your final bill. You have up to two years to file a claim in small claims court.
I emailed them a week ago, asking for credit of $390.00. No response.

P.S Skyler, one of the movers asked me at my old address, “is this your paint poll” I replied yes. It was brand new. Well it is not at my new address. Even their employee’s steal from you.

It has been a year and half since I gave Matt Fanning a deposit to install exterior doors. Once he received the deposit he NEVER contacted me again. I had to contact him and listen to his excuses of why he couldn't install the doors. Now all he does is give me excuses as to why he can't repay my deposit. Another person has since installed my doors with NO supply issues and it was done promptly! Matt Flanning seems to be in the business of theft not doors.

My session with Richard was terrible, lots of long uncomfortable silences where he just stared at me. I have visited the Belmont Dental Centre in Langford BC as a new patient without any issues. The hygienist managed to partially clean 4 front teeth with some deposits in about 30 minutes, and wanted me to come back for another session. Then came the new patient exam. I was told that a panoramic x-ray is required, as did not have one in the past 5 years. I agreed to that. Then the dentist came and started to tell me that additional nine (9) x-rays required before the new patient exam.

think that without looking on the panoramic x-ray, and without looking on the patient oral condition is reasonable to ask for 9 x-rays. However the dentist insisted. It was the point to walk away. The overall experience is poor. A caring doctor should listen a patients concerns, which in my case was for the excessive x-rays. Was no visual check or looking on the panoramic image was done prior requesting 9 additional x-rays. Overall the worst dental hygienist and worst dentist first impression experience.
Genuinely the worst experience of my life getting a van conversion by this “company”. Dealing with Dan and Sean was horrifying and I urge anyone thinking of getting a build to look elsewhere.
2 days before our van was ready, they sent us the final invoice and said that we had to pay $57,000 instead of the $16,500 we knew about. There was no notice, no communication, and absolutely no consent that they had gone over our budget or our estimate in the entire 8 weeks that we spoke with Dan. In fact

Dan and Sean tried to pin it on us and kept telling us that we chose “expensive” add-ons which was entirely untrue. The original estimate had just under $24,000 pre-tax worth of materials whilst the final invoice had under $25,000 pre-tax!
In reality, they tacked on absurd amounts of labour costs that don’t even make sense. 30 hours for a roof rack? 50 hours for a ceiling? Every contractor we’ve spoken to has said both of those things wouldn’t take over a day of work. If Dan is so inexperienced with these things that they could ever take him two WEEKS of work - he shouldn’t be charging the client for his own learning and lack of skills.
This is just one example of how they manipulated the final invoice to attempt to get an extra $40,000 from us. We would have never gotten a van conversion if the total would be anywhere near $107,000. Please keep in mind that materials only cost $27,708.69 after taxes. So their final invoice included $79,291 of labour and additional fees.
Our van also has MANY serious issues:
- The electrical was done so horribly that it had to be re-wired and was a fire and safety hazard. There weren’t even any circuit breakers
- The water pump does not work and the plumbing tubes leak
- The bed has since crashed down and ripped a wall off thus had to be removed, but it also wasn’t built properly as there were exposed wires below that would destroy our batteries if a mattress was added
They do not know what they are doing and they should not be in business!

After my kids were suddenly kicked out of this daycare, I've spent a month processing what was a profoundly upsetting experience and trying to figure out what to say here to support other parents in their own daycare journey. Good childcare is hard to come by (likely due to the fact that it is challenging work that tends to be grossly underpaid) so if you are in need of a daycare and this is your only option, by all means go for it. , although our interactions with them were sparse and always rushed so it's hard to find much to say about them, and I never saw them interact with my children because parents were not allowed inside.
As long as the owner/operator of this daycare is Maggie, be warned that she is a very poor communicator. She doesn't seem to have the capacity to show up for her families in a meaningful way. On average she takes 2 weeks to respond to emails, often longer. For us, this meant we missed out on a month of government subsidy because she took so long to respond with the signed forms. She also gave us inaccurate information regarding when the paperwork was due to the government to qualify for funding. But whatever, it's just money. My biggest issues with Maggie was her style of communication, and her apparent lack of care for the actual well being of the families in her center. In communication, she over shares but doesn't follow up, defends herself in an unprofessional way, blames staff for issues in a mean way, and is generally manipulative and passive aggressive in her messages. We also NEVER saw her face to face except the very initial meeting to view the centre. We were there 9 months. She was never around, never available for conversation or phone calls and so dealing with her meant you were left with only inconsistent and frustrating email communication. She is unyielding and inflexible on policies and offers little transparency in her unilateral decision making.
It was when I was expressing this frustration and attempting to give feedback to the staff (because Maggie wasn't responding to my messages) that my kids were kicked out IMMEDIATELY because I was behaving "inappropriately". In the end, I realized I was being gaslighted and was actually relieved to be done dealing with her, even though it meant an intensely stressful month for my family as we struggled in the aftermath with no daycare and the challenging emotions of such a horrible conclusion.
I don't believe Maggie is interested in providing a heart-centered service to this community. Dealing with her means walking on eggshells and biting your tongue again and again. She should not be in such a position of power and I would be glad to see someone else running this centre.
Came up to the property twice. Wasted 2 weeks of my time. Didn't accomplish his job. Says he has too much on his plate to get around to doing anything. Last week he told me he could likely put together an appraisal just by sitting at his desk and comparing prices to other properties but he didn't do it. Didn't do anything. Just wasted my time. Is likely caused monetary damages at this point due to this ridiculous delays. Do not hire.

There was a shooting here after staff called the RCMP on a car crash victim on October 25 2022. Sadly it's not surprising, the staff here are known for antagonizing people just so they can call the RCMP when someone is upset at their behaviour. I imagine this could have been avoided if staff and RCMP could treat people with a shred if dignity.

I think I may have moved onto another winery had I not gotten an education and also to sample the different varieties. To make a long story short, the wine went to Edmonton for our wedding and I had nothing but great reviews from our guests, asking where that wine came from. I was more than proud to declare it was imported from British Columbia. This place needs to be your go to winery if you’re looking for the very best. UPDATE 1: They want to give us a $250 refund ... that is not a solution. We paid for a service that they didn't deliver. They have also deleted my comments and reviews on Facebook, which indicates that they are not a very honest, upfront company.
UPDATE 2: they are now offering a 50% refund if we sign a contract agreeing to remove all of our reviews and not post them again. Makes me wonder about all of the 5-star reviews, maybe there were other reviews where the customers were paid off to remove them.

When our transport arrived at their compound to pick up our truck it was immediately held hostage for not 1 but 2 payments without ever having any kind of invoice sent to us for the cost. Then all of a sudden there was an additional cost added after that for a bigger truck that had to be used even though they were told it was a 5500 GMC truck with a 26' box on it and wasn't running.
