I usually don't write reviews, however, the experience I had was one of the worst I have ever experienced. I asked for a curly haircut, to cut my hair and to keep it shoulder length (Long Layers); little did I know I was going to get the worst haircut of my entire life. She washed my hair, and then sat me in the chair, I showed her pictures of the cut I wanted, in which all of them showed long layers. The stylist just took scissors and just chopped everything off and dared to use thinning scissors on my curly hair..... thinning scissors on curly hair destroys the hair and makes it prone to damage and split ends. She chopped my crown layers to be so short, gave me long layers on the bottom, and thinned everything destroying my healthy hair. It's been once a week since the cut and my hair is completely damaged and I am very very upset. My curls are so stressed from the haircut it's having a hard time coming back.
Regarding the pricing, when I booked online it said it would be $50. The minute I entered the salon it suddenly became $60 plus tax. I did return after the haircut to get a refund but she only gave me $20 back. I will not be returning here. I can confirm I am traumatized by this experience and I would advise anyone else with curly hair to go find another hair salon to do your cut. Looking at the state of my hair now, I know it will take a very very very long time to grow back into its original healthy state.
(Edit: I can see the owner has changed her replies multiple times, so let me show you the proof of her responses (please see the attached screenshots). After being insulted by her with my review, claiming that I only wanted a free haircut is hysterical. My hair still looks very damaged after the cut. She claims she kept “length” but as the individual who has to stay with this hideous cut, my layers are all uneven and unflattering. I suggest others go elsewhere.)
