My thoughts about The Clover School, took me some time to process. Following the lockdowns of 2020/2021 school year, we made the decision to send our child to The Clover School with the hopes they would not only benefit academically due to smaller class sizes and more 1:1 time with the teacher, but emotionally and socially based on the Montessori (and The Clover School) philosophy of compassion, empathy and inclusion. Our experience was quite the opposite. While there were fleeting positive moments, overall, I would say unless your child is perfect, suffers from zero academic disabilities and fits the mould of a Montessori child, do not send them here. One would think that being a brand-new school opening on the heels of what many would say was one of the most psychologically trying years for most (especially children), this school would have ensured they were opening their doors having operationalized the philosophies they so openly gloat about. My child spent an entire year suffering from anxiety due to an undiagnosed learning disability – one that despite spending a year in a tiny classroom with the teacher, was not noticed. Anxiety symptoms manifested as headaches, tummy aches (which the school did not even have the basic wherewithal to connect the dots of very textbook anxiety symptoms), but instead made them feel not only like a liar, but as an outcast within the classroom. His symptoms disrupted the “kumbaya flow’ of the rest of the class — this was made very clear to him as an inconvenience. Despite being already registered at the school, we were told there was no room for our child in the upcoming 2022/2023 school year due to waitlists, which we quickly learned was a complete lie. Textbook discrimination. In 9.5 months, The Clover School destroyed my child’s confidence both academically and socially in order to preserve their fantasy of creating a wholesome eutopia. I cannot NOT recommend this school enough. Shame on every single one of you.… – show

Hello James,
I am so sorry to hear about your experience. We currently have a child in Clover School and we seem to be experiencing a very similar approach, which is totally contrary to what we were led to believe when our Application was approved by the School.
Would you be willing to connect so we can better understand your experience? I have serious concerns that the school is intentionally misrepresenting what families can expect with a view towards increasing enrollment and tuition.
